This 6-month Online Pre-Master's programme provides a direct route to a wide variety of Master's degrees at the University of Stirling. The programme will increase your English language abilities and enhance your research skills in preparation for postgraduate study at the university.

Key Information

  • This is an online programme delivered over two terms. Teaching will take place between 10am-2pm (UK GMT).
  • Classes will be a mix of live classes and asynchronous content, delivered via our virtual learning environment.
  • Online programme suitable for students who have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, but narrowly missed the academic admissions criteria for postgraduate study.
  • Support to improve academic English, as well as develop the necessary research skills before beginning a postgraduate degree at the University of Stirling.
  • Successful completion of the Pre-Master’s leads to a Graduate Diploma of Higher Education.

Academic Requirements
Pass in an undergraduate degree in any academic subject or Diploma (3-5 years) with high grades in any academic subject. - *Additional Information: Please note that in addition to the UKVI IELTS, INTO is able to accept other English language qualifications. English Language Requirements

IELTS 5.0 (with no less than 5.0 in any subskill) or equivalent* *NB: Students who wish to enter on a Student Route visa require a minimum of 5.5 in all subskills, or equivalent.

iCAS

If you have a higher English language level, you may qualify for our iCAS (integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)) program. Combining your pathway and degree in a single study plan, you’ll only need one visa for the duration of your studies and can apply with alternative English language qualifications to IELTS.

The prices shown are for the current academic year of 01 September 2025–31 August 2026 and are for indicative purposes only.

All students who confirm their offer on or before 31 January 2026 will pay the 2025/26 price as per their existing offer letter. After 31 January 2026, where tuition fees have increased, all current offers will be reissued, and students will receive a new offer with the new 2026/2027 pricing.
